Victoria Osborne, CNM - Director of Midwifery

Vickie (she/her) is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) who was raised in the Chicago suburb of

Oak Park. She has a diverse educational background holding a Master’s of Nurse Midwifery

(MSN) from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS)

from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology (BA) from Syracuse University.

While completing her BA she also spent time studying at the University of Harare in Zimbabwe.

This foundation brings a rich perspective to her practice, providing her with an understanding of

the cultural nuances of healthcare and the importance of holistic, individualized support for

every client. She builds upon this knowledge to foster open, trusting relationships with her

clients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and respected.

Vickie is passionate about community birth. She spent the first 8 years of her career at a

Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Rockford, Illinois, where she had the privilege of

providing care to underserved communities. Vickie is committed to making healthcare

accessible, inclusive, and personalized, and she is driven to improve maternal and reproductive

health outcomes by providing evidence-based, compassionate, client-centered care.

In 2025, Vickie joined the Burr Ridge Birth Center as the Director of Midwifery. She currently

resides in the Northwestern suburbs with her husband Steve, a Kiwi from New Zealand, and

their four children. Vickie is a believer in the power of lifelong learning and the value of

broadening one’s horizons – whether through travel, reading, or connecting with people from all

walks of life. When she’s not welcoming babies into the world, Vickie can probably be found in

her car, chauffeuring her kids to practice and appointments, where she loves to impress them

and their friends with her eclectic taste in music and audiobooks. Outside of work, she also

enjoys Pilates, ice cream, and daydreaming about naps.
