LaShanna Kimmons, IBCLC is available for lactation consultations every Tuesday morning in person at Burr Ridge Birth Center. Prenatal visits to help with infant feeding preparation can also be arranged.


LaShanna’s lactation specialties include:

• Low supply and oversupply, engorgement, mastitis, and clogged milk ducts.

• Pain with latch, nipple trauma from breastfeeding or pumping.

• Tongue and lip tie evaluation to refer out for additional assistance.

• Exclusive breastfeeding, exclusive pumping, and combo feeding. 

• Preterm and late preterm infants.   

• Establishing routines for returning to work, and weaning supply safely when the lactation journey is coming to a close.

Appointments with LaShanna are scheduled directly on her website.

LaShanna is an independent provider and her services are billed separately from your care with the BRBC Midwives.

LaShanna accepts insurance through The Lactation Network (TLN). Currently, TLN accepts, most Anthem, UHC, VA CCN, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans. Verify your insurance coverage HERE. There is no out-of-pocket cost with insurance billing.
